This is a tumblelog, kinda like a blog but with short-form, mixed-media posts with stuff I like. Scroll down a bit to start reading, or a bit more to read more about me.
When I read poems, I wish I were a poet.
When I watch movies, I wish I could make films.
When I eat delightfully, I wish I were a chef.
When I enjoy art, I wish I could paint.
When I surf the web, I wish I designed sites.
When I listen to music, I wish I could produce my own.
They all come and go.
But I can sleep.
And I wish I could dream forever.
Baja La Tension - Cultura Profetica
I sing this song in my head quite often even though I don’t know or understand the lyrics.
Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, when one only remembers to turn on the light.
I don’t think an uglier picture of this man exists. Yah Cristiano!
Count on Me

So. There are one or two people in my life and one or two famous people that I feel like I know, who exemplify the person I wish to be. They’re the Christian deep-thinkers who are extremely witty and verbally extravagant who seem to be on good, enjoyable paths and abled in anything they try. That’s who I want to be.
Christian: Given. Read some C.S. Lewis Mere Christianity and some new testament if you’re at odds with me. It’ll at least give you something to argue with if you don’t have anything else. (Hey, all humans like a good argument.)
Deep thinking: Maybe it’s just me, but I see so many people who run simply through the motions of life. I don’t mean to be a Michelangelo and throw your entire life down the tubes for the sake of your thoughts and practices (or as Charlie’s teacher put it, to “use thought to not participate in life”), but people forget to examine the big picture as well as the details. Life is not a word search where everything is a gimme, but a crossword: you’re given clues, and you must figure it out. The most satisfying solves on a crossword are always those that are above and beyond, just as the most creative of thinking is the most satisfying.
Witty: I’ve got a thing for wit. There’s something about a biting, yet altogether there humor that gets me every time.
Verbally extravagant: Expressing yourself intelligently is key for lots of things. I don’t mean using the longest words you can find in the dictionary, but using a variety, including colloquialisms.
Good path: You’re on your way somewhere.
Abled: I enjoy a person who can play ping pong, soccer, sing, play an instrument, eat huge amounts, play video games in a way that make you jealous, recite documents, and relate knowledge and facts to practicality.
Enjoyment: And at the end of all of this, which seems to be such ridiculous work, they really aren’t work for it at all. This is just what they are, and they like themselves.
